Black Cat Florals and Botanicals is based in rural Middle Tennessee conveniently situated near Nashville and accessible to multiple wedding venues. We are a small rural based Wedding Floral Business. We grow many of our own floral requirements and greenery right here on our small farm in Eagleville, Tennessee.
Owner and head florist, Erin Davidson, has over 15 years of experience in floral design. Born into a military family, Erin had the wonderful experience of traveling and living throughout the world and you can see it in her floral design philosophy and approach. Erin has studied under expert floral designers to include Adri Smith of Moss Floral Design and Barbara Faris owner and head designer of Flowers of Las Colinas. Erin's extensive knowledge of flowers and foliages both international and local allow her to create sophisticated designs that speaks to our client’s wedding location and aesthetic. Her love for nature is evident in her work as she supplements all her designs with cultivated as well as native wildflowers grown on the family farm in rural Tennessee.
A lifelong learner, Erin graduated from Middle Tennessee State University and has a Bachelor of Arts in theater. As part of her studies she appeared in several productions including The World of the Brothers Grimm and In One Basket while in Kentucky and later she also had major roles in The Hashtag Project, The Why Monster and Tall Tales, touring with the last productions touring in Guatemala, Ireland, and England respectively. As a vegetarian Erin has a passion for all things botanical you could say that her love of plants was inevitable. After a brief stint as a Flight Attendant for a major airline and then working in Pre-School Education, Erin turned the dream of becoming a florist into reality by moving back to Middle Tennessee and starting Black Cat Florals and Botanicals.
Erin and her family love nature and creating beauty using seasonal locally grown flowers and greenery from her family’s farm in Eagleville, Tennessee. With an expansive knowledge of flowers, plants and greenery, Erin ensures that every event has a custom floral design that integrates seamlessly with your overall vision for that special day and can work within every budget.
